Guru & Sādhu Bhakti

Devotion and reverence to the Holy Saints and Gurus

Hearing from a self realized soul

The living entities are in a state of deep sleep and cannot wake themselves up, an external force is required. Therefore the wise associate with those realized souls, sādhus, who carry and radiate the sound form of Brahman, which has the potency to wake up and free souls from all misgivings.

Attachment to the feet of the Lord, which alone can put an end to all suffering, does not develop in men so long as they do not bathe in the dust of the feet of the great devotees who have renounced all material interests. (SB 7.5.32)

Sat saṅga

Neither yoga, nor philosophical classification, nor piety, nor recitation of Scriptures, nor austerities, nor renunciation, nor sacrificial worship, nor charity, nor vows, nor pilgrimages, nor following rules purify one like the association of the saints. (SB 11.12.1)

Therefore, a person who is profoundly inquisitive about the ultimate good should take shelter of a preceptor who is deeply versed in the sound form of Brahman [the Vedas], who has directly realized the transcendental Brahman, and who has thus become a veritable abode of inner tranquillity. (SB 11.3.21)

Vedānta

The culmination of Vaidika wisdom

Svabhāvika-dvaitādvaita-vedānta

  • Natural (inherent) dual non-dualism established doctrine of śrī nimbārkācāryaḥ
  • The Vedas provide full knowledge about all aspects of life. But the Vedas are complex and difficult to interpret. This interpretation of Vedānta is the most simple and direct way to reconcile all the contradictory statements of the Vedas.
  • Vedānta does not contradict other philosophical systems, paths and religions, if understood properly, rather it is the culmination and synthesis of all valid philosophical inquiry and its goal is not a mere intellectual understanding, but direct realisation of Brahman.

The Sacred Triad

Vraja-maṇḍala nurtures the sacred triad – Śarīra, Antaḥkaraṇa and Ātma, as inseparable threads of one spiritual journey, woven together in the loving service of the Divine Couple.

Śarīra

Thy body is a sacred temple, that requires constant purification and maintenance in order to unlock its highest potential.

By balancing the elements, following a yogic diet (sāttvika prasāda), honouring prasāda as medicine, living a simple life in alignment with nature will result in the Divine Self shining through and effortlessly elevating one to spiritual consciousness.

Then the body will naturally start to follow the rhythms of the universe, desire to serve all living beings, be free from a heavy body, dull mind and diseases, develop mystic abilities and experience oneness with Brahman.

Antaḥkaraṇa

Thy mind-field is a sacred operating system, that requires the right de-programming, programming and scripts (scriptures) in order to understand reality [i.e. the subtle and gross dimensions], produce human efficacy and learn how to transcend matter.

Knowledge & logic is the foundation for intelligent life, it provides a map, compass and a user manual for navigation.

Everything starts with knowledge even the most basic things like: how to sit, breath, eat or speak.

Naturally and most importantly there is also a goal for this precious human birth. There are physical, subtle laws that govern us and the cosmos. Being ignorant of them does not free us from the consequences of transgressing them. With the right knowledge one can know these laws, see the goal, the paths, the shortcuts and the dangers with clarity.

Ātma

Thy Divine Self is an eternal lover and servant of Śrī-Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa, longing for the union with its Beloved.

Divine love to The Supreme Godhead is the most essential aspect of ones being.

Spirituality without this most crucial foundation is like a phoenix that doesn’t rise, a fire that doesn’t burn hot, a moon that never shows his face or a flower without a scent.

That is why all the dimensions of life and all of our endeavours should be illuminated by and centred around prema-bhakti.
